The people behind the site
Experience the Maldives is an independent travel guide operated as part of the Vacation Planning Company family — a U.S.-based, CLIA-member travel agency. What we collect
Only what you type
One email address
Just the address you enter, used to send occasional Maldives ideas and offers. Every send includes a way to opt out; one email and it stops.
Local preferences
Reading position, packing-list ticks and display settings live in your browser's localStorage. They never leave your device and clearing your browser data erases them.
No trackers, no payments
No analytics scripts, ad pixels, tracking cookies or fingerprinting. We never ask for card or payment details on this site — anywhere, ever.
Where it goes
The path your inquiry takes
When you submit the form, your details travel from this website's own server to a private Google Apps Script owned by Vacation Planning Company, which records them in our secure lead-management spreadsheet (Google Sheets) and emails our planning desk (Gmail). That's the whole pipeline: this site → our relay → Google Workspace tools we control. No data brokers, no advertising platforms, no resale — your details are used to respond to your request and for no other purpose.
Like nearly every website, our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and animation libraries from the unpkg CDN; those providers see standard network metadata (such as your IP address) when your browser fetches the files. We keep inquiry records for as long as they're useful for planning and follow-up; email us and we'll delete yours on request.
This site is intended for travelers arranging their own plans; please don't submit someone else's personal details without their OK. If you're visiting from a region with specific privacy rights (such as the EU or California), the same promise applies universally: ask us what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — we will.
